Village au Pied-du-Courant

🌞 GOOD BEHAVIOR

By accessing the site, each person agrees to comply with the rules in place, which are essential to the smooth running of the event. A respectful and courteous attitude towards the team and other participants is expected in order to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for everyone.

Alcohol must be consumed responsibly. Respect for consent, individual boundaries, and personal space is fundamental to ensuring a safe and caring environment.

The Village is an inclusive space: no discriminatory behavior or language (homophobic, transphobic, sexist, racist, etc.) will be tolerated. Here, everyone should feel free, respected, and welcome.

A reminder: at the VPC, remember that you're in a shared space, not your own living room

📜 THE 6 COMMANDMENTS OF THE PERFECT VACATIONER

  1. You accept that you're in a place with rules - and they're there to keep things running smoothly.
  2. You act with respect and politeness towards team members and other vacationers, to keep a good atmosphere where everyone can enjoy themselves to the full.
  3. You consume responsibly, bearing in mind that this is not your living room (we insist 😄).
  4. You respect other people's limits, which aren't necessarily your own, and you always respect their consent in order to preserve a safe and caring environment for all.
  5. You enjoy the music, the enchanting site and the people, with respect and moderation, paying attention to the personal space of others so that everyone can have a good time.
  6. You make our beach an inclusive space - no homophobic, transphobic, sexist, racist or discriminatory language or behavior is tolerated here. Everyone deserves to feel welcome, respected and free to celebrate in their own way. 💕

AMEN

💛 CONSENT

Because we want everyone to feel free, good and safe, we remind you what consent is, according to the Department of Justice Canada (2022):

“Consent is voluntarily giving one's agreement to engage in sexual activity.”

In practice, this can mean: a kiss at sunset, a slow dance stuck in the sand or a hand that wants to flatter a temporary tattoo... Whatever the gesture or moment:

👉 no clear, enthusiastic yes = it's a no.

Asking is good. Waiting and respecting the answer is essential. And if it's no (or vague, or silent), you respect. You back off. And continue to enjoy the evening in a different way. ✌️

Consent is free, clear and enthusiastic.

Not under pressure. Not between drinks. Not when the person isn't fully present.

A yes is like a big “hell yes, baby!” with a knowing smile.

A no is a word, silence, discomfort or a glance that escapes. And if you're wondering... it's probably no.

So what do we do when we hear “no”?

Respect. We give space back.

And we go back to dancing in the sand with our friends.

Easy breezy.
